The goal of this issue is to discuss and decide on the methods for handling the transmission and distribution subsectors during the disagrgegation of the electricity sector.
Transmission and distribution are part of the electricity sector in the detailed Make and Use tables (part of 221100). Unlike the other subsectors that are part of 221100, they do not generate electricity but rather transport it. From a monetary perspective, the Distribution sector in particular represents a large share of the total monetary value of the aggregate 221100 sector as indicated by the BEA detailed gross industry output data.
