In Julian mode, several NS-era saints appear 13 days late (seemingly pinned to their civil date-number) or are missing, relative to Old-Calendar practice (ROCOR printed calendar, OrthoChristian):
- St John (Maximovich) of Shanghai (+1966) — listed on Julian Jul 2 (civil Jul 15) with the note "(June 19 OC)". OC practice: Jun 19 OS = civil Jul 2. He is not listed on civil Jul 2 (Julian Jun 19).
- St Silouan the Athonite (+1938) — listed on Julian Sep 24 (civil Oct 7) with the note "(September 11 OC)". OC practice: Sep 11 OS = civil Sep 24. Not listed there.
- St Luke of Simferopol (+1961) — appears absent: not on Julian May 29 (civil Jun 11, the OC practice date) nor on Julian Jun 11 (civil Jun 24).
Correctly placed, for comparison: the Royal Martyrs (Jul 4 OS), St John of Kronstadt (Dec 20 OS), the glorification of St Herman of Alaska (Jul 27 OS), and the canonization of St Xenia (Sep 11 OS).
Suggestion: in Julian mode, pin NS-era commemorations to their OS-equivalent dates — the "(... OC)" annotations already in the data appear to know them.
Thank you for this wonderful service — it powers a daily readings app used in a ROCOR parish, and we're very grateful for it.
