Laptop volume buttons stopped working while using the app

The volume buttons on my laptop became unresponsive when I started using the app (on Linux).

The volume slider on my laptop is changing up and down when I press the volume button up/down, but the volume stays the same.
The same happens if I press the buttons in "PC media control" area,

When I control volume through the buttons above the bass control, the volume responds normally.

Thanks for the app, btw, everything else works great.
