Self-hosting Airweave means you run the entire stack on your own infrastructure, so you are not dependent on any Airweave cloud subscription. Looking at the repo, the docker-compose.yml setup spins up all required services (backend, frontend, database, etc.) locally. However, note that some connectors or integrations may rely on third-party services (e.g., embedding providers like OpenAI) that have their own separate costs — those are independent of Airweave's own cloud offering and would still require their respective subscriptions.
