changing my avatar/profile picture keeps my old one in the UI

Describe the bug

i changed my profile pic this morning and it's still showing my old one in a few places:

• the settings popup icon;
• the "avatar" preview under settings > account;
• the currently selected account in the bottom left (and its preview when clicking)

Reproduction

1. change your picture under settings > account > avatar

Expected behavior

it should change everywhere at once

linux, electron, matrix.org homeserver, using latest build
