From 0678af88f3e7ecf53cf9abba4cdad79aa19a4fb8 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Maciej Myszkiewicz Date: Sun, 11 Oct 2026 10:22:38 +0200 Subject: [PATCH] docs: Linux is 10.90 MiB, so "under ten megabytes" was wrong MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit The release workflow measured the figure the README had been deferring to it, and it does not say what both pages assumed. Stripped: 8 587 400 bytes on macOS x86_64, 7 843 528 on arm64, and 11 424 312 on Linux x86_64 — 10.90 MiB, over the line the v0.1.0 notes drew in their first sentence. The README now carries the Linux number and where it came from, and the notes lead with both platforms instead of with a round one that only held for macOS. --- README.md | 11 ++++++++--- docs/releases/v0.1.0.md | 6 ++++-- 2 files changed, 12 insertions(+), 5 deletions(-) diff --git a/README.md b/README.md index fd580e2..35612a3 100644 --- a/README.md +++ b/README.md @@ -34,9 +34,14 @@ $ strip target/release/xtce-gs && ls -l target/release/xtce-gs ``` Measured with rustc 1.99.0; the toolchain and the dependency tree both move these by a few -kilobytes, so run the commands rather than trusting the figures.
