StatLite is a self-hosted metrics dashboard for small applications and VPS deployments. Version 0.5.1 makes long-range chart views more responsive and makes it easier to turn an inspected endpoint into a configuration entry.
What is new in 0.5.1
Faster long-range dashboard charts
The 7-day and 30-day overview charts now use bounded sampling. They load less history while keeping the overall trend readable. These views are approximate and can miss intermediate spikes or counter resets; stored samples remain authoritative. Use
statlite --raw-serieswhen you need full-resolution data within the effective requested range.Safer target setup
statlite inspectcan now create a new configuration or append an inspected target to an existing one:Plain inspection remains read-only. The write options require an explicit path and check for duplicate names or endpoints.
Documentation
The release adds a Simplified Chinese README landing page and clarifies the sampled chart behavior and configuration-writing limits.
Certification
The v0.5.1 release matrix passed for Spring Boot 3.5.5 and 4.0.8, including Actuator, Micrometer Prometheus, and deprecated configuration compatibility; Quarkus 3.39.1; and migration of a historical SQLite database. Long-history stress coverage used 180 days across five targets and confirmed representative dashboard ranges. The exact candidate also passed browser, readiness, self-monitoring, and manual dashboard review.
