Project Proposal

Hello Open Paws Team,

I am a developer who was inspired by your mission of building AI tools for animal advocacy. I have created a project that I would like to share with your organization.

Project Details:

• Project Name: Fundraising Intelligence Platform for Animal Advocacy

What I have built:

• A CatBoost machine learning model that predicts the likelihood of a donor making future donations based on historical donor data.
• SHAP explainability integrated so users can understand why the model made a specific prediction.
• A Streamlit dashboard with four tabs (Make Predictions, Model Performance, Explain Predictions, and How to Use) designed to be user-friendly for non-technical staff.
• Professional documentation including README, CONTRIBUTING.md, SETUP.md, and project structure guides.

Current Status:

This project is currently in the MVP (Minimum Viable Product) stage. The core functionality is working, but some features (such as advanced SHAP visualizations and testing on real-world nonprofit data) can still be improved.

My Intention:

I would like to contribute this project to Open Paws. If you find it useful, I am open to:

• Moving the repository under the Open Paws GitHub organization, or
• Continuing development on this project under your guidance.
