Processes being used without being assigned

When calling KCSD.py , for example python kCSD-python/figures/kcsd_properties/tutorial1.py, why are there multiple processes being called open. Where is this coming from?

try htop when running this file. Why are there multiple nodes opening up? This should not happen.

Can someone else replicate this on their machine please?
