Unreal 5.8?

Any chance of getting an official 5.8 Release? If not could you remind us of how to build one ourselves, do we just run the Makefile?

oh sorry, i see the instructions are right there. Does the plugin need to be built separately for Mac and Windows?

to add a little clarifying info to my question, what confuses me is that on the releases page there is just one unreal version per release, without windows/mac but in the build instructions there is a TargetPlatforms field in the build command. Does this just need to match the platform doing the build, and the produced plugin will work on mac or windows?

after more reading it seems leaving TargetPlatforms blank will build for all platforms, which is what i want. One thing i realized along the way is that you are missing -DINKCPP_UNREAL=ON from the instructions in your readme, without it the CMAKE commands dont do anything

Yes you can also enter Multiple platforms comma separated, if you use cmake-gui . in the build directory you will also see all variables might of interest.

Also there is a PR incoming with bug fixes around migrating snapshots and creating migratable snapshots in UE
