If I can get to this in the next week, I'll attempt a rebase from the upstream official branch then apply the Makefile changes. The solution could include Makefile sections dedicated to building locally via docker, then copying build assets from a relative directory mounted as a volume. From there, a gh CLI publish script or existing workflow can be used to push the finished thing up to Github for people to install into retro arcade (maybe?)
