Step 4: Create a Log Analytics workspace in Azure

  1. Sign in to Azure Portal: Go to the Azure portal and sign in with your Azure account.
  2. Search for Log Analytics: In the search bar at the top, type Log Analytics and select Log Analytics workspaces from the list.

  1. Create a New Workspace:
    • Click on the + Create button.
    • Select your Subscription from the dropdown menu.
    • Choose an existing Resource Group or create a new one.
    • Enter a unique Name for your Log Analytics workspace.
    • Select a Region where you want to create the workspace.
  2. Review and Create:
    • Click on Review + create to review your settings.
    • Click on Create to create the workspace.

  1. Configure Data Collection: Once the workspace is created, you can configure data collection from your Azure and non-Azure resources.
  2. Run Log Searches: Use the Log Analytics workspace to run log searches and analyze the collected data.
